All you Should Know About the Central Park Weddings

Central Park is one of the most picturesque and iconic destinations to organize a marriage ceremony in New York City. Central Park Weddings are popular among the local population since they get an opportunity to organize weddings under the displays of flowers, shrubs, and trees. They are in bloom from early spring through late October.

Weddings in Conservatory Garden are planned through the conservatory only. However, there are various other attractive locations to organize wedding ceremonies in Central Park like Cop Cot (max. 50 ppl.): 60th St., close to Central Park South in the center of the park, Ladies Pavilion (Gazebo, max. 20-25 ppl.): 77th St. and West Drive, Wagner Cove (Gazebo, max. 20-25 ppl.): 72nd St. west of Cherry Hill at the edge of the lake, Cherry Hill, etc.

Wedding in the Conservatory Garden requires a permit and permit fee which is used for the maintenance and cultivation of the garden. Central Park wedding officiant is also available for officiating wedding ceremonies. After downloading the permit application, you can mail it with the form of payment including check, money order, or credit card information to the address on the application. The permit fee at present is $400, and if you want photography at the venue, you need to pay an additional $100.

If there is no conflict with a previously reserved party, your date will be confirmed and reserved immediately. In case of a conflict, you can choose another date and time. Your permit will be mailed to you a month earlier than the date of the ceremony.

One thing should be noted that you will be liable for all damage or injury to property or person caused using the permit. If you accept the permit, you agree to save the City of New York, NYC Parks, and the Central Park Conservancy, Inc for the period of the ceremony.

A cancellation fee of $200 is applicable. But if you wish to reschedule the Central Park Weddings within a year from the original date, the conservatory will hold the payment and apply it to the new date. After a year of the original date of the wedding, no part of the payment will be refunded.

A wedding party of only 100 is allowed inside the conservatory and no other activities other than weddings and photography are allowed here.
